It goes by many names: some call it the kubotan, others call it the yawara, some call it a Koppo Stick. It appears in Okinawan and Japanese forms of Karate as well as various jujutsu and aikido disciplines. It can be found in Filipino Arnis and Escrima Arts and many other arts around the world.
We just call it the pocket stick. It is small, lightweight, portable, versatile and easily concealable. You can use it as a “fistload” to make your punches more solid, or you can use it to enhance your ridgehand strikes, hammerfists, and straight thrusts. It can make every strike more devastating.
Easy to use, you simply slide your two middle fingers through the loop and grip lightly but firmly and you are ready to strike.
Use it for Joint Locks!
If you are in a security position, never go unarmed again. Use this to execute better joint locks! Apply more pressure to sensitive nerve points. Use less energy to achieve “come-alongs” and manage unmanageable opponents.
Ideal for the smaller practitioner, it can even the odds when facing a larger, stronger opponent.
On this dvd, your sensei, Lawrence Valadez will show you how to utilize this powerful tool!
