stainless steel version. The stainless steel has been heat treated, and it is suitable for iaido and kendo kata practice. The edge is non-sharpened, and gives the feel of holding a steel sword, but without the dangers of a sharpened edge. The cutting edge is finished with a smooth and rounded edge.
The stainless steel has been thoroughly heat treated for strength and durability, and capable of withstanding light contact (regular heavy contact is not recommended). It is actually more difficult on factory tools than standard carbon steel. Heat treated stainless steel also has additional benefits over traditional carbon steel. It does not need regular cleaning, and does not rust. The stainless steel iaito is also finished with a mirror finish, giving it the look of a highly polished Japanese katana.
Comes in a 28 inch length with bohi standard.
